Director, Peacebuilding Partnerships at Humanity United

Bryan M. S. is a seasoned professional in peacebuilding, democratic governance, and conflict resolution, currently serving as a Security Fellow at Truman National Security Project since January 2024. As the Director of Peacebuilding and Partnerships at Humanity United since September 2017, Bryan co-leads strategic initiatives such as the Powered by the People Initiative (PXP), collaborating with USAID and managing a global team to enhance democratic resilience. Past roles include program management at Freedom House, political analysis at IDASA, and grants administration at the National Endowment for Democracy, demonstrating a consistent track record in resource development and team leadership across various organizations. Academically, Bryan holds a PhD in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Stellenbosch University, a M.A in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent, and a BA in International Affairs and Political Science from Northeastern University.
