Popoola Ayo

Popoola Ayo has worked in a variety of roles in the technology and innovation sector since 2006. In 2006, they began as an IP Engineering/3G Mobile Consultant for Nokia Solutions and Networks do Brasil Servicos Ltda. In 2007, they worked as an IP Engineering Consultant for British Telecom (BT) and the European Space Agency (ESA). Popoola then worked as an IP Consultant for the Government of Rwanda in 2008. From 2009-2010, they worked as a Senior Consultant for Timbuktu Systems/Straton Consult Inc. and then as a Senior Consultant for AKP Group from 2011-2015. In 2015, they became the CEO/Co-Founder of Ayo Popoola, a lifestyle brand that designs, markets, and sells apparel, accessories, and home furnishings. In 2016, they became a Founding Partner of ONYX International/ONYX LABS, working in the mix of 21st century technology and innovation. In 2018, they began working as an Independent Consultant for DIM Foundation- Hybrid Stock Exchange HYBSE. Finally, in 2019, they became a Regional Consultant (LATAM/Africa)-Business Development and Partnerships for HUMBL.

Popoola Ayo's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Design from the University of California, Berkeley between 1984 and 1986, an Associate of Arts in Environmental Design from Fresno City College between 1982 and 1984, and attendance at St Gregory's College from 1973 to 1978. In 2001 and 2002, they attended TELINDUS HIGH - INSTITUTE in Belgium for Certified Cisco Network Professional and Certified Checkpoint Security Associate Engineering. Popoola Ayo also holds additional certifications including Certified Blockchain Expert from Blockchain Council obtained in August 2018, CNA from Novell obtained in August 1999, VASCO DATA SECURITY Certification of Training from Belgium obtained in 2001, and CISCO Certifications and Nortel Passport training.
