Youngjoo Choi

Principal Scientist at Hummingbird Bioscience

Youngjoo Choi has a diverse work experience in the field of bioscience and medical research. Starting in 2009, Youngjoo worked as a PHD Student at the University of Georgia. From 2012 to 2015, Youngjoo was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the International Vaccine Institute. In 2015, Youngjoo joined the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School as a Research Fellow, a position held until 2019. In 2019, Youngjoo joined GI Innovation as a Principal Scientist, a role held until March 2020. From September 2019 to November 2021, Youngjoo also worked as a Principal Scientist at GI Cell. Currently, Youngjoo is employed as a Principal Scientist at Hummingbird Bioscience, starting in January 2022.

Youngjoo Choi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, from 2002 to 2006. Youngjoo then pursued further education at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Infectious Diseases from 2007 to 2012.
