David Gál

Chief Executive Director at Hungarian Baptist Aid

David Gál has extensive experience in humanitarian aid and development, currently serving as Chief Executive Director at Hungarian Baptist Aid since May 2000. In this role, David has been responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of projects in numerous countries, including Afghanistan, Haiti, and Ukraine, as well as participation in significant medical and search-and-rescue operations during major disasters. In January 2024, David took on the role of European Consortium Coordinator for the EU DEAR project RURAL VOICES 2030, focusing on engaging young rural citizens in soil protection. Prior experience includes serving as Program Assistant and Translator at The Alliance for SCP, where David supported rural community development initiatives in Hungary and Romania. David holds a Master's degree in International Humanitarian Assistance from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences.
