Melissa Harkness

Melissa Harkness is a compliance coordinator at Hungry Man, where responsibilities include overseeing DOT compliance for all commercial film set drivers and serving as a testing liaison for Covid protocols. In addition to this role, Melissa has been a freelance DOT coordinator and writer since February 2013, focusing on scriptwriting and revision for various productions. Recognized for creative work, Melissa's short screenplay "Prozzies" achieved quarterfinalist status in multiple contests, while the full-length screenplay "Open" was a finalist in the LA Film Awards Contest. Melissa is also an actor, having been self-employed in this capacity since July 2011. Educationally, Melissa holds a Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting and Screenwriting from the University of California, Riverside, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from The University of Memphis.
