Kyle McCleery

Network Engineer at Hunter Communications

Kyle McCleery has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kyle first worked as a Maryland Conservation Corps member for AmeriCorps from September 2010 to August 2011. Following this, they joined the Maryland Department of Human Resources as a Family Investment Specialist II from July 2013 to February 2016. Kyle then transitioned to the Oregon Department of Human Services, where they served as a Human Services Specialist III from February 2016 to May 2018. In May 2018, they began an apprenticeship with Apprenti, where they gained expertise as an Apprentice Network Engineer. This comprehensive apprenticeship involved on-the-job training, structured curriculum, and independent study. During this period, they became the first Journeyman Network Security Engineer in Oregon and obtained certifications such as Network+, CCENT, and CCNA. Most recently, they joined Hunter Communications in September 2018 as a Network Engineer, continually expanding their knowledge and expertise in this field.

Kyle McCleery obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Citizens Broadband Radio Service Certified Professional Installer [CBRS CPI] from Google in February 2022, Network Security Administrator - Journeyman from the State of Oregon in October 2019, Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) from Cisco in May 2019, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco in August 2018, and CompTIA Network+ from CompTIA in June 2018.
