Megan Gerbez

Megan Gerbez has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Megan is currently working as a Recruiter II at Hunter International Recruiting, where they connect clients with talented individuals in their respective industries. Prior to this, Megan worked at Kent State University as a Sr. International Student & Scholar Advisor for four years. In this role, they served as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), ensuring compliance with immigration regulations for international students. Megan also provided advising and support for ESL, undergraduate, and graduate international students. Before their time at Kent State University, Megan worked at Stony Brook University as an International Student & Scholar Assistant and later as a Residence Hall Director. Megan also gained experience as a Resident Director and Graduate Assistant at the University of Mount Union. Additionally, Megan held internships at various universities, including The University of Edinburgh, Baldwin Wallace University, and Wright State University--Lake Campus, where they gained valuable experience in areas such as academic advising, residence life, and international student services.

Megan Gerbez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Childhood Education with a minor in Business and Honors Scholar distinction from Wright State University. Megan attended from 2007 to 2011. Megan then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Kent State University, completing it from 2012 to 2014. During their time at Kent State University, they also earned a Certificate of Internationalization of Higher Education, specializing in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. Megan Gerbez has additional certifications in International Education Training Services, including J-1 SEVIS Essentials obtained in April 2017, and F-1 SEVIS Essentials obtained in February 2017.
