Brian C. Pidcock

Brian is a litigation partner in the firm’s Houston office.

He handles a wide array of civil litigation matters across a broad range of industries, including energy, healthcare and managed care, media and entertainment, and other commercially related areas. Brian is experienced at all stages of litigation and trial in state and federal court and in arbitration. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, copyright and trademark infringement, and violations of ERISA. In recent years, Brian has focused on defending against numerous personal injury lawsuits alleging toxic levels of exposure to oil and chemicals arising out of a major oil well drilling incident.

Prior to joining the firm, Brian served for two years as a Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge David Hittner in the Southern District of Texas, where he was the lead briefing attorney on numerous cases covering a broad array of subject matters. Brian’s federal clerkship experience gives him a strong foundation for a diverse legal practice and a unique ability to provide clients with key insight into the judicial process.

During Brian’s practice at the firm, he worked as a volunteer prosecutor at the City of Houston Municipal Court where he tried numerous jury trials to verdict and handled all aspects of pretrial motions, voir dire, witness examination, and closing arguments.

Brian is a strong believer in equal access to justice and frequently handles pro bono matters from the Houston Volunteer Lawyers program. Most recently, Brian has helped mothers enforce their child custody rights by filing writs of habeas corpus for the return of children taken unlawfully by other family members.
