Carol Howell

Carol Howell has an extensive career at Huntsville Hospital, beginning in June 1988 and currently serving as the Nursing Informatics/ER Physician Group Office Manager. Carol's experience includes roles such as Nursing Informatics Manager, where responsibilities included the implementation of CPOE using Wellsoft EDIS across multiple hospitals, and Quality Improvement Analyst, focusing on patient care and treatment expediency. Previous positions include Senior Applications Analyst in IT as a Pharmacy Analyst, Clinical Systems Analyst and Physician Educator, and Interim Director of the Emergency Department. Prior to Huntsville Hospital, Carol worked as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department at Ball Memorial Hospital from 1983 to 1988. Carol holds an ADN in Registered Nursing from The University of Alabama and Vincennes University and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified through UAH.
