Raymond Shen

Raymond Shen has extensive work experience in the technology industry, starting in 2005 and continuing to the present. Raymond has held various roles in different companies, including Huobi Global, Pegasus Technology, Thomson Reuters, Reuters Financial Software, and BEA Systems.

At Huobi Global, Raymond worked as a Technical Vice President, starting in 2018 and continuing to the present.

Prior to that, they were a Technical Director (Regional Head) at Pegasus Technology from 2017 to 2018. In this role, they led engineering teams in Beijing and worked closely with the company's headquarters in the UAE. Their responsibilities included developing Big Data systems for government and managing a multi-functional team.

From 2008 to 2017, Raymond worked at Thomson Reuters in various roles. Raymond started as a Technical Team Manager and developed Elektron Value Adding Infrastructure, a new revenue generator for the company. Later, they became a Development Manager, where they built up and grew Rapid Technology Solutions to bring Big Data solutions to Thomson Reuters' Enterprise Content Platform. Raymond also worked on the development of a new generation analytic platform, covering various business unit requirements.

Before Thomson Reuters, Raymond worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Reuters Financial Software from 2008 to 2008. In this role, they were in charge of core maintenance and development for the VAP system, improving its stability.

Raymond's early career in the technology industry started at BEA Systems in 2005. Raymond worked as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in BEA Tuxedo, a portable transaction processing monitor for various applications. In this role, they ensured the smooth running of high-volume transaction processing systems for large organizations.

Overall, Raymond Shen has held various technical and leadership roles throughout their career, with a focus on developing and managing Big Data systems and leading engineering teams.

Raymond Shen completed their Master of Engineering in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2003. Raymond also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Architecture and Computer Science from the same university during the same time period.
