Alnis Smidchens

Alnis Smidchens is a Senior Innovation Engineer at PTC, specializing in transforming advanced technologies into practical engineering software tools. With extensive leadership experience, Alnis served as President of the UW Game Development Club, organizing activities and game jams for an interdisciplinary team of approximately 45 members. Alnis held multiple roles in the Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROV), including Chief Technology Officer, leading the development of a competitive subsea ROV team. As President of the Husky Satellite Lab, Alnis coordinated the creation of innovative space technology projects involving over 80 undergraduates. Academic contributions include a role as a Physics Education Researcher at the University of Washington and internships at Onshape, focusing on product management and development. Alnis holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Washington.
