Donna Budynas

Earth Science Teacher, Middle School Science Department Lead at Hutchison School

Donna Budynas has extensive work experience in the field of education. Donna has been working at Hutchison School since 2013, where they are an Earth Science Teacher and also leads the science department for the middle school. Prior to that, they worked in Memphis City Schools for 30 years, starting in 1983. During their time there, they taught middle school general science and also served as the Planetarium Director and web site designer for the Craigmont High School Planetarium. Donna held the position of co-director from 2000-2005 and then became the director from 2007-2010, until the planetarium closed due to budget cuts.

Donna Budynas holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary and Special Education, obtained from Lambuth University in the years 1979 to 1983. Donna further pursued their education and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Teachers of Geosciences from Mississippi State University in the years 2001 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Walden University from 1999 to 2001. Donna Budynas is also a Certified Teacher in the State of Tennessee, with the certification obtained in August 1983.
