Jenny Livschitz has accumulated extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Jenny started their career in 1998 as a Finance Manager at North Shore City Council, where they successfully led the implementation of integrated financial systems and other system improvements. In 2010, they joined Auckland Transport as the Manager of Financial Reporting, where they were responsible for monthly financial reporting and establishing new financial controls. Moving forward, they became a Manager at Auckland Council, overseeing corporate performance and reporting, as well as billing and credit management. In 2017, they joined the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) as the Manager of Financial Planning and Performance. Currently, they hold the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at Hutt City Council.

Jenny Livschitz's education history includes attending Massey University from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Business/Commerce. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 1986 and 1988.
