Jorge da Costa Ferreira

Head of Product - Supply Chain at HUUB

Jorge da Costa Ferreira has a diverse work experience. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at SLIDE IN Travel as a Commercial Manager, coordinating a commercial team of over 50 people and achieving record results. In 2016, they also held the role of Monitor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. In 2017, they held three roles: Head of Product - Supply Chain at HUUB, Senior Product Manager at HUUB, and Product Manager at HUUB, where they were responsible for defining product roadmap at tactical and strategic level and researching and specifying strategic themes and conversion of them to features to fulfill business customers' needs. Jorge also held the role of Data Scientist at HUUB, where they built micro-services to integrate with HUUB systems, developed machine-learning algorithms, and consulted on Tech Architecture and data modelling. In 2017, they also became Co-Founder at ShopAI.co, a company focused on leveraging the image capabilities for optimization of search channels on web shops. In 2018, they were an Invited Teacher at EDIT. - Disruptive Digital Education, where they taught a 16-hour session about Data Analytics basics.

Jorge da Costa Ferreira has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, which they obtained between 2012 and 2015. In 2016, they completed an Erasmus program at Sapienza Università di Roma, also in Engineering/Industrial Management. From 2015 to 2017, they obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the same university. Jorge is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Modeling, Data Analysis and Decision Support Systems (Data Mining) at FEP U. Porto, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In addition, they have obtained a Teaching Skills Certificate from Knowit – Consultoria, Formação e Tecnologia, S.A. in March 2022, as well as a Product Manager Foundations certification from One Month PM in September 2021.
