Luke Kramer

Luke Kramer is an experienced geneticist currently serving as a Pedigree Geneticist at Hy-Line International since June 2023. Previously, Luke held various research roles at Iowa State University from August 2012 to November 2023, including Postdoctoral Researcher and Interdepartmental Genetics Research Assistant, focusing on epistasis in fatty acids in Angus beef cattle and analyzing bovine respiratory disease viruses. Luke also contributed to grant writing and led the Animal Breeding and Genetics Graduate Student Organization for two years. Prior to academic roles, Luke engaged in research and development at 3M, working on laminate interfaces for security documents from August 2009 to July 2012. Luke holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Statistics, and Animal Breeding and Genetics from Iowa State University and a degree in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development from the University of Minnesota.
