Erlend Finsnes

Erlend Finsnes has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Erlend currently works as a Business Developer at Hy2gen AG since March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager at Karabin AS from February 2022 to March 2023.

From August 2019 to February 2022, Erlend worked at Shell as a Well Engineering Team Lead / Linnorm Wells Project Lead. Erlend also served as a Senior Well Engineer / Drilling Superintendent from January 2017 to July 2019 at the same company.

Before joining Shell, Erlend held various roles at BG Group from August 2010 to December 2016. Erlend was a Lead Drilling Engineer from June 2015 to December 2016, and from June 2013 to June 2015. Erlend also worked as a Drilling Engineer / Supervisor from June 2012 to June 2013 and started their career as a Well Engineering Graduate from August 2010 to June 2012.

Erlend Finsnes's education history begins in 2009 when they attended The University of Western Australia for a brief period to study Petroleum. In 2005, they enrolled in the University of Stavanger and completed their MSc in Petroleum Engineering in 2010. After a gap of eleven years, Erlend returned to the University of Stavanger in 2021 to pursue another MSc, this time in Industrial Economics. Their expected completion date for the second MSc is 2023.
