J Craig Fryman has a strong background in product development and engineering in the orthopaedics industry. From 2019 until the present, they have been the Director of Product Development at Hyalex Orthopaedics Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Zimmer Biomet for many years, holding various roles such as Principal Design Engineer, Staff Engineer, and Principal Engineer. At Zimmer Biomet, they were responsible for developing novel products in the sports medicine market and played a key role in implementing a new design control platform. J Craig also served as the Principal Research Engineer for advanced technology and was responsible for scouting new technologies and establishing collaborations. Before joining Zimmer Biomet, Fryman worked at DePuy Orthopaedics as a Coop in Tribology, where they conducted wear studies and developed new tests. J Craig Fryman has an educational background in engineering. J Craig earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Marquette University, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame from 2007 to 2010. In 2013 to 2014, Fryman furthered their education by obtaining a Master's Certificate in Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics from Penn State University. Additionally, in 2017, they completed Level 1 Training at Crisis Response International to enhance their crisis response skills.
