Ricardo Palacios

Ricardo Palacios is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial and compliance law, particularly within the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Commercial and Compliance Legal Director at Hyatt since June 2025, Ricardo previously held the same title at Playa Hotels & Resorts from September 2015 to October 2025, where responsibilities included managing corporate matters and providing legal counsel to HR departments across Mexican hotels. Ricardo's career also encompasses a decade of academic experience as a Professor of Law at Universidad Latinoamericana del Caribe, along with roles as a Senior Associate at Cámara & Asociados, and as an attorney at Heineken México, where negotiation and compliance with federal/local licenses were key focuses. Ricardo's qualifications include a Master in Asesoramiento Jurídico Empresarial and a specialization in Derecho Inmobiliario from Universidade da Coruña, complemented by a law degree from Universidad Intercontinental.
