Tarah Ortiz Durnbaugh

Tarah Ortiz Durnbaugh currently serves as the Executive Director at Hyde Park School of Dance, overseeing the operations of a community arts organization dedicated to inclusive dance education on Chicago's South Side. Previously, Tarah held the position of Director of Creative Engagement at Lyric Opera of Chicago, where leadership in audience and engagement programs reached over 10,000 participants through various events. Tarah's extensive experience in arts education includes roles as Program Director at Urban Gateways, where coordination of school-based programs and partnerships highlighted teen voices in the arts. Additional contributions as a Dance Instructor and Artistic Director at Kaleidoscope Dance, alongside performance experience with Joel Hall Dancers and Be the Groove Productions, further underscore Tarah's commitment to the arts. Tarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and English Literature from Northwestern University.
