Cynthia Yiu

Cynthia Yiu, P.Eng., M.A.Sc., SMIEEE, currently serves as the Manager of Planning Strategy and Analysis at Hydro One, a position held since July 2009. With a diverse background in engineering, Cynthia has also held roles including Manager of Business Process Support and Manager of System and Operations Audit, where leadership in operational assurance and reviews for high-risk processes was demonstrated. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Engineer for Special Studies, where extensive analysis and solutions for system development were conducted. Early career roles at General Electric involved participation in the Engineering Leadership Program, and as a Firmware Developer, focusing on product development, and at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority as a consultant for asset management. Cynthia holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Electrical and Power Systems Engineering and Systems Design Engineering, respectively.
