Rick Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rick co-founded Hydrogen Advertising in 2001 and served as its President from 2008 to 2017. At Hydrogen Advertising, they helped clients accelerate their businesses and provided services such as strategic brand planning, creative development, marketing and media strategy, and digital marketing.

Before their work at Hydrogen Advertising, Rick was involved with the Federation of Gay Games from 1989 to 1994, serving as the founding male co-president. Rick currently works on special projects for the organization.

In 2018, Rick joined GAY GAMES 11 HONG KONG 2023 as a Sponsorship & Partnership Development professional. Rick'srole involves bringing global brands and the Gay Games together to create positive change. Gay Games 11 is expected to be the largest international LGBT+ event in the world in 2022.

Rick also served as a member of the WWU Marketing Advisory Board from 2016 to 2017.

Prior to these roles, Rick worked at Bozell Worldwide/Cf2GS as a Partner & Associate Creative Director, helping grow the agency to one of the largest full-service advertising and direct-marketing agencies in the Pacific Northwest. Rick also worked as an Associate Creative Director at FCB Worldwide, Seattle (formerly Bozell Worldwide and Cf2GS, Inc.). Earlier in their career, they worked at Sharp Hartwig as a Copywriter / Creative Group Head.

Overall, Rick Peterson has a wealth of experience in advertising and marketing, including strategic planning, creative development, and partnership development. In addition, they have made significant contributions to the Federation of Gay Games and has been involved in various advisory roles.

Rick Peterson attended Sehome High School, but no specific years were provided. After graduating from high school, they went on to study at Washington State University from 1969 to 1973. During their time at Washington State University, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Rick Peterson enrolled at the University of Washington in 1977 and graduated in 1978. Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Washington.
