Lead Data Scientist at Hydrostasis

Michelle Hoogenhout has worked in various roles since 2009. Michelle began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Cape Town, followed by a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the same institution. In 2015, they joined the Student & Trainee Committee of the International Society for Autism Research. In 2017, they became a Fellow in the Global Initiative in Neuropsychiatric Genetics Education in Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. From 2018 to 2019, they were the Co-Founder of Ingane Health. In 2020, they took on the role of Instructor and Senior Data Scientist at Galvanize Inc, and in 2021 they began working as the Lead Data Scientist at Hydrostasis, Inc.

Michelle Hoogenhout began their educational journey in 2004 when they attended Stellenbosch University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Life Sciences. From 2008 to 2008, they attended the University of Cape Town and obtained a BSocSc (Hons) in Psychology. Finally, from 2008 to 2011, they attended the University of Cape Town again and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Research Psychology.
