Carlos J. Chaccour D. has extensive experience in the medical field. Carlos J. began their career in 2004 as a Rural Doctor for the Panare Indigenous community in the Maniapure region at the Amazonian border for the Fundación Proyecto Maniapure. Carlos J. then moved on to become a Medical Advisor for TeleSalud de Venezuela in 2005. In the same year, they also became a Rural Doctor for the Pemon Indigenous community of Wonken and surrounding area, as well as a Coordinator of students in internship from the faculty of medicine UCV and dentistry USM at Fundación Wonken. In 2011, they became a Resident in Internal Medicine (MIR) at Clínica Universidad de Navarra. In 2014, they began working as an Assistant Research Professor and Medical Research Fellow at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). In 2020, they became a Medical Team consultant for Hyfe and a Collaborating Professor at the University of Navarra.

Carlos J. Chaccour D. has an extensive education history. Carlos J. completed an MD at Universidad Central de Venezuela from 1997 to 2004. Carlos J. then studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London from 2007 to 2008, where they earned an MSc in Tropical Medicine. In 2008, they also completed a DTM&H at the Royal College of Physicians London. From 2009 to 2011, they studied at the Interdaf am Herder Institut der Universität Leipzig, where they earned a C1 in German. Finally, they earned a PhD in Biomedical Research from the University of Navarra from 2011 to 2015.
