Itohan Onaghinon

Itohan is the Head, Legal and Compliance at Hygeia HMO with over 15 years’ cognate experience spanning litigation and alternative dispute resolution, corporate commercial practice, contracting and agreements, legal advisory, general solicitors work, real estate and corporate governance.

Before joining Hygeia HMO, Itohan was at Stanbic IBTC Group between 2008 and 2017 where she handled different portfolios including being the Company Secretary of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Ltd (2013-2017), Senior Consultant, Governance, Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC (2011-2013) and Senior Associate, Legal, Stanbic IBTC Wealth Group (2008-2011). Itohan deputised for the Group Company Secretary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC throughout her time in Stanbic IBTC.

Itohan is a graduate of Law from the University of Benin and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Lagos. She is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (United Kingdom). In her role as Head Legal & Compliance, Itohan is responsible for providing general in-house counsel responsibilities for Hygeia HMO, ensuring regulatory compliance on all fronts and also providing strategic initiatives for the team while ensuring alignment with the ultimate company goal.
