Nan Shen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Consultant at Assystem for a year. In 2008, they served as the Legal Conference Director at IQPC for eight months. From 2009 to 2012, Nan Shen worked as a China/Asia Project Executive at American Conference Institute, where they were responsible for project strategy, execution, and budgeting. During this time, they also established and managed relationships with senior attorneys, corporate executives, and government agencies. In 2012, Nan Shen joined Starr Companies as a CPCU-Designated Underwriter and International Business and Law Advisor. In this role, they focused on financial institutional risk and investment consulting for US states, providing guidance, establishing relationships, and targeting insurance opportunities. Their role also involved drafting manuscript policies and ensuring policy issuance within guidelines. Finally, since 2019, Nan Shen has been a Client Executive and the Head of New York Operations at Hylant, focusing on expanding the New York market and delivering customized risk management and insurance programs to corporate clients.
Nan Shen 沈楠 began their education in 2000 at East China University of Political Science and Law, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree in International Law in 2004. In 2003, Nan Shen also briefly studied at the City University of Hong Kong's School of Law as part of their LL.B program.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Nan Shen pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International Law at the Transnational Law and Business University from 2004 to 2006.
