David McMichael

David McMichael is a seasoned Senior Writer at The University of Texas at Austin since April 2021, leading the proposal process for significant fundraising initiatives, enhancing communication strategies with university leadership, and producing engaging content across various platforms. As a Co-Founder of the Hyperreal Film Club, David has played a crucial role in establishing a prominent nonprofit within Austin's film community, overseeing fundraising efforts and programming numerous events to engage local audiences and filmmakers. Previously, as Grants Director for the Austin Theatre Alliance, David successfully increased annual grant revenue and fostered relationships with institutional givers while shaping strategic initiatives for the organization's Education Department.
