Brian Stumm

Brian Stumm has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Brian has held various senior-level positions in engineering, management, and strategy development. Stumm's most recent role was as the Senior Director of Engineering at Hypertherm, where they currently work. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager for Jade Bird Fire Alarm Europe, leading the successful startup of the company in less than two years. Brian also worked as the VP of Global Strategy & Development at Beida Jade Bird Universal Fire Alarm Device Co. Ltd. As the Director of Engineering at UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Stumm managed a large team of engineers and oversaw the product development process to support the global fire and security business. During their time at UTC Fire & Security, Global Fire Suppression, Stumm served as the Director of Engineering and was responsible for leading the development and execution of new product projects and sustaining engineering efforts. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Engineering at Kidde-Fenwal. Stumm began their career as a Development Engineer at AMP Incorporated and later served as the Director of Materials Forming at Tyco Electronics. Brian Stumm's education history includes obtaining a Doctorate of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Colorado State University from 2023 to 2027. Brian also earned an MBA from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University from 2007 to 2008. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, earned between 1987 and 1992, as well as a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 1992-1993. Lastly, they completed their earliest degree, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (MEEE) from Capital College, Pennsylvania State University, spanning from 1996 to 2006.
