Deepa Karunakaran

Deepa Karunakaran is a highly experienced scientific professional with a strong background in biotechnology and microbiology. Currently serving as a Scientific Officer and Lab Manager at Oxford Expression Technologies since February 2020, and a Protein Expression Scientist at Mologic since July 2019, Deepa has been instrumental in managing microbial resources and fermentation processes at Hypha Discovery Ltd since April 2013. Educational qualifications include an MPhil in Biotechnology and Microbiology from the University of Westminster, an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Wales, and a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from the University of Westminster. Deepa's expertise encompasses process development, media optimisation, mammalian cell culture, and conducting intricate assays, alongside significant research experience from various academic and industry positions.
