Lisbet Kvaerno

Lisbet Kvaerno, PhD, is an accomplished chemist currently serving as an Honorary Associate Professor and Visiting Scientist at Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark, where preparations are underway to establish an independent research group. With extensive experience, Kvaerno has worked as a Consultant at Hypha Discovery Ltd since December 2018, having previously held the role of Head of Synthetic Chemistry, significantly contributing to organic synthesis capabilities. Kvaerno has been involved in academia as an Advisory Board Member at the Center for Medicinal Chemistry at UCPH and served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark. Other notable positions include development roles at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S and Lundbeck, as well as a stint at the Max Planck Institute as Independent Junior Group Leader. Kvaerno’s education includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the University of Basel.
