John Vogel

Chief Engineer of HTPEM stack at HyPoint

John Vogel is the current Chief Engineer of HTPEM stack at HyPoint. John has extensive experience in technology development and commercialization, having served as VP Technology Development at GE Ventures from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they managed internal development efforts and over $1.5M in annual development budgets, developing and commercializing diverse products from GE’s technology portfolio. John also executed product due diligence activities, directed IP landscape studies, conducted market analysis and segmentation studies and performed channel partner identification and engagement.

Prior to their work at GE, John was with Tire Conversion Technologies Inc. (TCT) where they oversaw technology development and provided venture capital functions on technology portfolios, recommending investment. John also negotiated and maintained domestic and international agreements valued at over $5M in revenue.

John Vogel attended Auburn University and the United States Military Academy at West Point.

John Vogel reports to Dr. Alex Ivanenko, CEO. John Vogel works with Brian C. Benicewicz - Head of Science, Rhonda Staudt - Chief Engineer of HTPEM MEA, and Dr. Sergey Panov - CTO.
