Scott Smith

Scott Smith has extensive experience in the automotive and commercial lending industry. Scott served as the Director of Commercial Credit for Hyundai Capital America, where they were responsible for commercial underwriting activities, portfolio maintenance, risk management, and wholesale/auditing functions. Prior to that, Scott worked as the Vice President of Risk Management at Wachovia/Wells Fargo Dealer Services. Scott also had a long tenure at Ford Motor Credit Company, where they held various roles, including Territory Manager and Manager of Commercial Lending for the Southeastern U.S. In these positions, they oversaw operations, sales, and profit and loss for their respective regions, analyzed credit data, assessed risk, and negotiated transactions. Scott is known as an entrepreneurial manager with a strong track record of success in driving revenue and growth in the automotive lending industry.

Scott Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Bates College from 1977 to 1981. Scott later pursued a Master of Science degree in Business, specializing in Organizational Effectiveness and Dynamics, at the University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1993.
