Sangwoo Kim

Sangwoo Kim is a Senior Researcher at Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd since December 2022, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering from August to December 2022. Sangwoo held a PhD position at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology from August 2018 to May 2022, focusing on riser fatigue and vortex-induced vibrations (VIV). Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at Korea Maritime and Ocean University and as a Visiting Researcher at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Education includes a PhD in Marine Technology from NTNU, a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean System Engineering from Korea Maritime & Ocean University, and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the same institution.
