Chi-Won Yoon

Chi-Won Yoon is an Independent Director at Hyundai Motor Group. Chi-Won previously served as the Vice Chairman of UBS Wealth Management from July 2016 to August 2019, where they were responsible for developing and enhancing long-term strategic relationships with UBS's most sophisticated clients globally. Prior to that, they were the President & CEO Asia Pacific at UBS from June 2009 to December 2015, overseeing the business activities of Wealth Management, Investment Bank and Global Asset Management across 13 countries and nearly 8,000 employees.

Yoon has also served as Head of Asia Pacific Equities and FICC at UBS from January 2009 to December 2009, Head of Asia Equities from January 2004 to December 2009, and Head of Equity Derivatives from January 1998 to December 2004. Chi-Won began their career in the financial industry at Merrill Lynch in 1986 as a Program Trading and Index Arbitrage trader, before moving to Lehman Brothers in 1992 to trade Equity Derivatives. In 1997, they joined SBC Warburg as Head of Equity Derivatives before moving to UBS in 1998.

Chi-Won Yoon has a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
