Prior to their career in the industry, Nicole worked as an Assistant Producer at NPR. Nicole holds a B.A in Journalism and Mass Communication with an Electronic Communication Sequence from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA in Interactive Media from Elon University, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Broughton High School.
