Rubén Cuevas Rumín

Rubén Cuevas Rumín is the Chief Product Officer and Founder at Hiili since April 2024, focusing on addressing the significant energy consumption and carbon emissions related to information and communications technologies. Concurrently, Rubén has been an Associate Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid since February 2006, conducting research on Internet measurements, online social networks, privacy, and online advertising, while also teaching various networking courses. Additional roles include Deputy Director and Executive Committee member at UC3M-Santander Big Data Institute, and a member of the Data Science Board at I-COM Global. Rubén further enriched academic collaboration as a Courtesy Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon in 2012 and gained experience as an intern at Telefónica's Research Lab in 2008. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Telematics Engineering and multiple master's degrees in related fields from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Aalborg University.
