James Detar

James Detar is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in product management, business development, and strategy within the marine and navigation sectors. Currently serving as Director of Product, Navigation & Compliance at Lloyd's Register OneOcean since May 2023, James previously held the position of Senior VP of Product at i4-Insight from August 2021 to May 2023. A consultant from December 2017 to August 2021, James focused on general management and revenue growth. Earlier roles include Director of the Marine Program Management Office at C-Map, Country Managing Director at Jeppesen, and various positions at C-Map and Marina/Consult. James holds multiple advanced degrees and certifications, including an EMBA from Bologna Business School, and has successfully managed both corporate strategy and product portfolios throughout a career spanning over four decades.
