Matt Gili

Matt Gili has worked in the mineral industry since 1990, beginning their career as a Mine Engineer with Hecla Mining. In 1998, they joined Rio Tinto - Oyu Tolgoi, LLC, where they held various roles including Vice President of Resource Strategy, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director and CEO, General Manager of Operations, Mine Manager, and Chief Engineer. In 2013, they began working for Barrick Gold Corporation as Chief Technical Officer and Executive General Manager of the Cortez District. In 2018, they became President and CEO of Nevada Copper Corp (ncu). In 2020, they founded MGili Consulting, providing management and technical consulting services to the mineral industry. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed President and COO of i-80 Gold Corp.

Matt Gili graduated from the University of Idaho in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering. Matt also holds a Professional Engineer certification from the State of Idaho.
