Russell Farscht

SVP, M&A and Strategy at IAC

As Senior Vice President, M&A and Strategy, Russell Farscht leads M&A and strategic development across IAC and all of its businesses. Prior to IAC, Mr. Farscht spent nearly 20 years with The Carlyle Group focused on investing in companies at the intersection of the media, technology and consumer sectors. Most recently, Mr. Farscht helped lead the firm’s global media effort as a Managing Director of Carlyle's flagship North American buyout fund. Prior to this, Mr. Farscht was an investment banking analyst at Salomon Smith Barney.

Mr. Farscht serves as a Board Director of Diamond Communications, one of the largest privately-owned wireless communication tower companies in the U.S. He is a former director of Getty Images and a former board observer of Ithaca Holdings, an entertainment and music company. Mr. Farscht graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics.
