Courtney Witkowski

Courtney Witkowski is an accomplished marine and environmental scientist with a diverse range of experiences in research and conservation. Currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Courtney previously held positions at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Biologist and at UCAR as a Program Specialist III. Courtney's earlier roles include working as a Science Assistant at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and as an ORISE Research Participant at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Notable contributions include implementing an outreach strategy for the Ocean Friendly Restaurants program at the Benioff Ocean Initiative and conducting marine conservation research as an intern at the Environmental Defense Center. Courtney holds a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Christian University.
