Gina Glendening

Gina Glendening has extensive experience in research, conference development, and event management. Gina is currently serving as the Senior Director of Research at IANS since January 2023, after having held the position of Director of Research from October 2021 to January 2023. Prior to this, Gina worked at World Congress from November 2014 to October 2021, where they served as the Executive Vice President for the Health Care, Pharmaceutical, and Legal/IP Divisions. Gina was responsible for overseeing content development and management of conferences, ensuring high-quality program agendas, and driving divisional growth and profitability. Before that, they worked at CBI - Advanstar Communications (Pharma/Science Group) from January 2007 to July 2013, starting as a Conference Program Manager and later becoming a Senior Conference Program Manager. In these roles, Gina focused on developing and managing conferences for pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech professionals, recruiting speakers, and researching and writing program content. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Campaign Coordinator at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2006, where they planned and executed fundraising campaigns. Gina also had a brief stint as an Associate/Contributing Editor at Outpatient Surgery Magazine in 2006. Gina began their career as a Staff Writer at the Daily Local News in 2002, covering various beats including government, politics, education, and public safety. Gina continued to freelance for the newspaper until 2006.

Gina Glendening attended Hofstra University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Print Journalism.
