Kat Traxler

Kat Traxler is a seasoned security researcher with a focus on public cloud environments, currently serving as a Principal Security Researcher at Vectra AI since June 2024. Traxler contributes as faculty at IANS and co-authors the SEC549 course on Enterprise Cloud Security Architecture for the SANS Institute. Previous roles include cloud security research at TrustOnCloud and extensive experience at Vectra AI in various security researcher positions. Kat has organized events for DEFCON 612 and held cybersecurity engineering and specialist roles at Best Buy. Additionally, Kat has leadership experience as the 2013 President of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Builders Exchange and holds a Full Stack Software Engineering Certification from Prime Digital Academy.
