Jason Spears

Jason Spears has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jason is currently employed at iA as the Director of Product Management. Prior to their current role, they worked as the Principle Product Manager at iA.

Before joining iA, Jason worked at PointClickCare as the Pharmacy Program Manager for six years. In this role, they drove integration and API enhancements, led partner relations with major long-term care pharmacies, and identified strategic partnership opportunities.

Jason also has experience as the Founder and Principal Consultant at JMS Strategy Consulting Services, where they provided consulting services in various areas.

At AlixaRx, Jason served as the Director of Product Management and led the development and launch of an on-site medication dispensing system. Jason also managed the overall marketing strategy, established a sales team and strategy for growing external business.

Prior to AlixaRx, Jason worked at Talyst as the Market Director and Product Manager. In these roles, they focused on LTC and Corrections markets, advocated policy changes, collaborated with directors from all departments to create the Partner Program, and led the development and launch of the INSITE Remote Dispensing System.

Early in their career, Jason worked at MDI Achieve as a Software Development Lead, where they secured a research grant and led a development team to design and develop a standards-based electronic prescribing system.

As a Software Developer and Consultant, Jason worked with numerous clients in various industries, including healthcare, retail, and finance. Jason developed user interfaces for CRM applications, application integration frameworks, and distributed order management systems.

Jason Spears has a strong education background in both business and computer science. Jason obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University, attending from 1994 to 1998. Jason later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Southern Methodist University, studying there from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Jason is certified in CPR & AED and Wilderness and Remote First Aid, both obtained in May 2022 from the American Red Cross. Jason also holds the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification, which they obtained from Improving Enterprises in July 2015. Furthermore, they received a Pragmatic Marketing Certified (PMC) in Product Management from Pragmatic Marketing in June 2008.
