Michael Kalika has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering, project management, and software development. In 2022, they began working as a Software Engineering Leader at Meta. From 2020 to present, they have been the Vice President of the Israeli Chapter of IASA Global, an international association of software architects. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Chief Architect of Intuit Israel, where they were responsible for strategic technology leadership, developing technical and leadership talent, and driving engineering culture. Michael was also the Architect and R&D Manager for QuickBooks Online, where they architected cloud-based fraud prevention and detection systems and operational business support systems. From 2015 to 2017, they were the R&D Architect at Payoneer, where they planned and directed R&D activities and technical challenges. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Business Intelligence Group Manager at HP, where they successfully built, recruited, and managed a business intelligence and data group. In 2011, they were the Project Manager at NICE Systems, where they managed development and implementation of IT projects. From 2004 to 2011, they were a Software Development Program Manager and Software Team Leader/Project Manager at HP. In 2004, they were a Software Engineer at Modules Inc., where they developed web-enabled embedded devices. From 2000 to 2004, they were a Senior Web Developer at Internet Gold, where they designed and developed database-driven websites.
Michael Kalika has a diverse educational background. Michael obtained a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Netanya Academic College in 2002, followed by an MBA in Technology Management from The College of Management Academic Studies (Rishon Le-Tzion) in 2007. In 2013, they attended the Startup Leadership Program (SLP) in Tel Aviv, where they studied entrepreneurship and startup leadership. Michael is currently enrolled at NAYA-College, where they are studying Big Data Expert with HADOOP. In addition, they have obtained four certifications: Machine Learning from Coursera in 2018, R Programming and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014, and PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2009.
