Pedro Bernardo has worked in the IT industry since 2007. Pedro began their career at Browser S.A. as a Programmer/IT Consultant for the Informatic Center of the Portuguese Parliament and the Citizen Information Centre and Public Relations (CICRP) of the Portuguese Parliament. There, they designed and implemented several BPM workflows integrated on the Parliament Intranet, and participated in the development of the Parliaments' website.
In 2009, Pedro Bernardo moved to Solátia S.A. as a Software Architect, where they were mandated to found an IT Department. Pedro was responsible for the analysis, design and development of a corporate intranet with an integrated application for submission of public bids.
In 2010, they joined LaSIGE, DI, FCUL as a Junior Researcher, where they worked on a combined research project with the Psychology Faculty on a mobile application with a therapeutic purpose for children. Pedro was also responsible for the analysis, research and development of several Android applications with a focus on Multimodal and Haptic interfaces, as well as the development of RESTfull web services for geo-referenced mobile applications.
In 2011, Pedro Bernardo moved to Controlinveste as an Analyst and Software Developer. Pedro was a core member of the team responsible for the E-Business strategy, with integration and coordination of external sub-consultants into existent projects. Pedro was also responsible for the analysis, research, development and integration of an Single-Sign-On solution (CAS), with the integration of Social Network login, as well as the development of backend and SOAP web services transversal to editorial websites and newspapers providing stock market information from Reuters.
In 2012, Pedro Bernardo joined AECOM as an Associate Director, where they lead a diverse and multidisciplinary team responsible for the Insights & Data, in terms of competences, career path and personal development plan. Pedro was also responsible for continuous coaching of team members with regards to goals, values and career, co-creating a culture of relationships, innovation, inclusion, and excellence. Additionally, they lead proposal and pitch strategy to integrate new service offerings through the request for proposals. Pedro also held the roles of Principal Developer and Head of Center of Excellence Research.
Finally, in 2020, Pedro Bernardo joined iATROS as the Head of Engineering.
Pedro Bernardo attended the University of Lisbon from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering.
