Katie Wertz

Katie Wertz is an accomplished Scenic Artist with extensive experience in the performing arts. Since July 2019, Katie has been affiliated with IATSE Local 800 as a Scenic Artist, while also working with IATSE Local 480 as a Set Painter since March 2016. Additionally, Katie has contributed to GALA Hispanic Theatre as a Scenic Artist since January 2013 and has maintained a successful freelance career as a Scenic Artist since December 2005. Past roles include Scenic Artist at Bella Faccia, Inc., Faux Finisher at Atreus Works, and Overhire Scenic Artist at Arena Stage. Katie's notable projects include serving as Scenic Charge for The Folklife Festival at the Smithsonian Institution and Assistant Charge Artist at The Glimmerglass Festival. Katie holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Design and Production from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Fine and Studio Arts from The University of New Mexico.
