Dr. Hubertus Ulmer

Dr. Hubertus Ulmer is an accomplished professional in the field of eMobility and systems engineering, currently serving as Manager of eMobility, Systems Engineering & Validation Commercial Vehicles at IAV since May 2019. With a strong background in hydrogen internal combustion engines, fuel cells, and model-based systems engineering, Dr. Ulmer has led initiatives in business development across Japan, the US, and Canada, and oversees a team of ten. Previous roles included Lead Engineer at Bertrandt Group, where responsibilities encompassed diesel calibration and advanced engine development, and scientific researcher at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Dr. Ulmer holds a Doctorate in Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover and is a certified Systems Engineer (GfSE)® Level B. Additionally, Dr. Ulmer contributes to academia through teaching positions focused on base engine development and tribology.
