Matthias Jaenicke

Matthias Jaenicke has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in IT and business solutions. Matthias is currently the Vice President and Department Head at IAV GmbH, where they lead a team of over 70 employees and is responsible for IT services across multiple areas, including ERP/SAP, engineering, software development, data science, IoT, test facilities, IT procurement, cybersecurity, and IT governance. Matthias is driving the transformation of process and application landscapes towards cloud and SaaS services using agile methods.

Before joining IAV GmbH, Matthias held several positions at Bombardier Transportation GmbH, including Director and Head of IS Service Management for project management and group functions, Director and Head of the ERP Application Center, Director and Head of IS Change Management, and Senior Specialist in business processes finance and controlling. In these roles, they were responsible for IT services supporting various functions within the organization, leading standardization and implementation of ERP applications, managing change processes, and overseeing SAP implementations globally.

Prior to their time at Bombardier, Matthias worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte and as a Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Unternehmensberatung GmbH/IBM BCS GmbH. Matthias also gained early experience as a Student Trainee at Herlitz AG.
