Alexandre Pébereau

Alexandre Pébereau is the CEO of iBasis. Alexandre has over 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, with a focus on strategy and operations.

Pébereau began their career at Maroc Telecom, where they served as managing director and CFO. As Vivendi Group representant, they were responsible for the general management of the Moroccan telecom incumbent, overseeing a €1.1 bn budget and 14,000 employees. Alexandre reset the company's strategy, transformed its management, and professionalized its processes. Under their leadership, the company gained 5 million mobile customers, with 20% growth p.a, and increased its EBITDA by 40%. Alexandre also oversaw the company's IPO at the Paris stock exchange.

In 2005, Pébereau joined Orange as chief executive officer of its international carriers division. Alexandre was tasked with designing and implementing a new strategy for the division, which had $2.1 bn in sales. Alexandre successfully grew the division by 5% p.a., while also managing its operations and 1000+ employees in 16 countries. Alexandre was also responsible for its P&L and cash flow. In 2009, they were appointed CEO of TOFANE GLOBAL, a challenger telecom company. Under their leadership, the company became profitable again, with a 10 pts increase in EBITDA margin. Alexandre also signed 30+ partnerships during their time at the company.

Alexandre Pébereau has a master's degree in business from ESCP Business School, an MBA in finance and international business from NYU Stern School of Business, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Université Paris Nanterre.
