Since joining IBC Bank in 1989, Rosie Ramirez's role and her department have increased dramatically. In her 30 years in Human Resources she's seen the bank go from 500 employees, including one payroll clerk, to more than 3,000 employees and an entire department dedicated to human resources, including payroll, benefit administration, employment relations, Human Resource Compliance and training.
Now an Executive Vice President, Ramirez manages all human resources and training throughout the bank's two-state footprint. The biggest change she has seen during her career in Human Resources is its progression from "afterthought" to "strategic imperative."
Ramirez lives the bank's "We Do More" philosophy by serving on the board of the United Way of Laredo. She is also a past president of Financial Women International and a member of the Laredo Business and Professional Women's Association and Leadership Texas.
The Laredo native earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Texas. She has two children, Nicholas Ramirez and Amanda Leigh Ramirez.
