Carlos Barrio

Carlos Barrio has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Carlos began their career as an intern at Iberdrola's O&M Department in 2004. Following this, they worked as a Deputy Director at Universidad Complutense de Madrid's "Santa María de Europa" Residential College from 2003 to 2006. Carlos then joined Ferrovial as a Production Chief from 2006 to 2008.

Carlos returned to Iberdrola in 2008 and held various roles within the company. Carlos started as a Senior Cost Control Engineer at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction from 2008 to 2013. Carlos then became a Cost Control Coordinator from January 2014 to December 2014, and later a Cost Control Manager from December 2014 to November 2017.

From November 2017 to June 2023, Carlos worked as the Head of Planning and Analysis | Global Customer Business. In this role, they led and managed the Planning and Analysis team, overseeing international operations across various countries. Carlos is currently the Head of Strategic Planning, Pricing, and Regulation at Iberdrola.

Carlos Barrio holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School, where they graduated with honors and ranked in the top 3 of their class. Carlos was also included in the Dean's List. Prior to this, they obtained a M.Sc. in Engineering with a focus on I.C.A.I. from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
